Keiji Shinzato is a lead scientist of Rakuten Institute of Technology (RIT). Before joining Rakuten, he worked at Kyoto University as a post-doctoral researcher. His research interest is natural language processing: especially knowledge acquisition, information extraction, sentiment analysis and text mining. He received a Ph.D. in Information Science from the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in 2006. He is now working at RIT-Boston as a visiting researcher from RIT-Tokyo.
