Prototyping Services
When you work on a new product or service or introduce a new product feature to your customer base, it`s very likely that your product concept and design will be based heavily on assumptions. Is that a problem? Well, often you start guessing how your target user wants to use a service or product and around those assumptions you start designing. No surprise, many products or product features fail after their launch. Users find them difficult to use or even worse won`t get at all why they should use your product. In my input session I will show you, how you can test product/service assumptions early with simple prototyping and testing. In the hands on workshop you will work on and test a simple paper prototype.

Pushing Frontiers of Natural Language: Is Deep Learning an Answer?
Understanding human language is considered to be a true hallmark of machine intelligence. In the last decade, for the first time in AI history, tools for natural language processing (NLP) have transitioned from research labs to industrial applications, and are used by millions of people on a daily basis. How did deep learning impact this transition? In this talk, I will aim to answer this question. I will start by providing a short tutorial on deep learning and its uses in NLP. Next, I will discuss our recent work on addressing the limitations of this technology, including "black-box" predictions and reliance on large amounts of training data.  This will cover our work on interpretability and transfer learning.
