Stanley is in charge of R&D at the Singapore branch of Rakuten Institute of Technology. His research interests are in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and their applications. Before joining Rakuten, he was an assistant professor at a Singapore university, and prior to that, a senior IT consultant at Singapore Infocomm Development Authority (currently known as GovTech). Stanley received his PhD in computer science from University of Washington, and his AB & BSc from Brown University.
